One of the first CD’s I ever owned was the great Jars of Clay album, “Much Afraid.” The song, “Frail,” quickly established itself as one of the far-and-away best songs from the album. To this day, it still moves me. (And has yet to be dethroned as the worlds greatest “rainy day song.”)
For those interested, the front man of Jars of Clay, Dan Haseltine, has a blog in which he often times writes the story of their songs. On Haseltine’s blog, and as a treat for those who like the background story of songs and music, here’s the story of this song.
Blessings to you.
