Monday Morning Music: Edge of Desire by John Mayer

Happy Monday to all of you.

I am continuing with the chilled out theme that I’ve seemed to be on as off late (I promise I’ll pick it up some with my future M3 posts).

I came across this song through the wonderful creation of pandora. There is something special about the last 2 or 3 albums put out by John Mayer. He’s shed his light and poppy side in order to embrace a more rich and varied- blues inspired musical style. He’s taken on the legendary song Crossroads, originally done by Eric Clapton’s band Cream. If that’s not enough, Mayer has acousti-fied (yes- I just said that) the great Tom Petty song, Free Falling.

I suppose John Mayer’s music, like a fine wine, only gets better with age.

Enjoy.
