Every summer, after all the stress of finals melted away and the freedom brought on my the months of June, July and the beginning of August, I spent countless nights fishing with 3 close friends of mine. We brought food, drinks and music and fished until we saw morning win the battle against night.
We played many songs through the 3 summers spent fishing, but one song that remained constant was this old song by Otis Redding.
Hearing the water, and seeing the moon over the Alton Bridge with fishing pole in hand, while Otis sang, life just felt right. And so this Monday morning, may this song bring you happiness and hope for times of beauty.
